MIITTU DANCE
Miittu Danceis a dance school founded by Miittu Lehvävirta. We specialize in Commercial dance, Dancehall and Twerk dances. We offer high-quality dance education for young and adult dance enthusiasts of all levels. We organize regular weekly classes for the autumn and spring seasons, separate dance workshops, camps and private lessons, for example. For bachelorette parties and birthday parties. In addition, Miittu Dance has intensive groups that participate in competitions and carry out various projects.
All Members are important to us. We want to be a dance school where everyone enjoys themselves and feels accepted. Each dancer is taken into account and encouraged to achieve their own goals. Dancing should be fun! In dance lessons, we laugh, sweat and learn new things together!
Dance teacher
MIITTU LEHVÄVIRTA
Miittu Lehvävirta is a professional dancer and dance teacher from Helsinki. For Miittu, it is important to enjoy dance, a sense of community, cultural knowledge, technique and expression. Miittu constantly participates in Jamaican dancers' Dancehall workshops and also in other dance classes to maintain her skills and knowledge of the genres. She has also been on training trips, to London, Ghana and Jamaica. As a teacher, she is encouraging and positive, but she also wants to challenge her students to learn and become better dancers. Miittu teaches e.g. Twerk, Dancehall Queenstyle, Commercial Dance and Sensual Twerk classes.
EXPERIENCE
Miittu has worked as a full-time dance teacher for more than seven years in Helsinki. In addition, Miittu has toured different cities in Finland, holding workshops, performing and judging dance competitions. Miittu is also hed coach of two performing and competing dance crews. Miittu has also appeared in several music videos in London, Finland and Ghana. Miittu is the Finnish Twerking Champion 2017.
